As a candidate for Battle Ground Public Schools Director, Position 1, my priority is to strengthen our district by increasing public trust, and supporting staff and students to ultimately achieve student success.

As a proud recently retired primary teacher of 32 years in Battle Ground, and as a leader in the Battle Ground Education Association, I have first hand experience of what works and what doesn't. I completely believe in our schools; there is such heart here. Battle Ground is not perfect, but if we work together as a community, we can make it even better. I am committed to providing the resources necessary to support students and staff, while also being fiscally responsible with limited funds.

I will continually be involved in the schools as a volunteer, working with students and keeping myself close to the trenches.

I have heard the community and their desire to make our schools stronger. We need everyone to be involved to make that happen. I am determined to increase public involvement in our schools, so they can see the amazing things happening and then to provide educated feedback for improvement.

I will be an experienced guiding force in moving our district into a promising future. I am ready for the challenge ahead.
