I believe that our community's trust must be earned and our funds must be spent wisely. This means setting and meeting performance metrics, focusing on community outreach and engagement, and operating with full transparency in all operations and budgeting.

I believe that students learn best in a safe and nurturing environment. This means we have to prioritize school safety for the benefit of both students and staff. We must have adequate security, nurses, counselors, and support staff available to help students throughout our schools. We must also enforcing a zero tolerance policy for bullying, intimidation, and chronically disruptive behaviors.

I believe that our schools and our students must serve as a foundation of our community for Battle Ground to thrive. This means that investing in our school facilities, staff, and curriculum to drive student success is essential for fostering a healthier and more prosperous community for all of us.

I believe speaking out and asking questions is essential for guiding the district. I am not afraid of asking those questions and sharing my experience and thoughts. I want to assure you that I will not simply rubber stamp district decisions. I will carefully evaluate each matter, considering what is best for students, staff, and the district as a whole.

 My experience with Battle Ground Education Association leadership has given me many opportunities to look at budgets and to raise concerns/ questions.

As a school board member, I am committed to listening to the concerns of our community and doing my utmost to address them. Your voices matter, and I aim to ensure that they are heard and considered in our decision-making process.
